Running During Coronavirus

During the Coronoavirus outbreak, it's important to follow social distancing measures even when you're running outside or attending a group run. Here are my guidelines for running as of March 7th. Check back often for updates as the situation changes.

  1. If you are sick, please do not run or attend the group run.

  2. Do not carpool to group runs, unless you already reside with that person.

  3. Always Running courses will be designed to minimize the need to pick runners in the van or to transport them back to their cars.

  4. We will meet in very open areas to start Group runs.

  5. Practice social distancing. No hand shaking, hugging or touching. Stay 5 to 10 feet away from others. Cover your mouth with your elbow if you need to cough or sneeze.

  6. No buddy running and no side by side tandem running, please keep at least ½ block distance.

  7. When approaching another and you want to overtake them/ pass them, please safely cross to the other side of the street or path. This applies to other runners and pedestrian in the general public, who may be walking or running towards you.

Be sure to check with your local public health department for any local guidelines that should also be considered. Stay safe runners!
